Grandma’s Honey Mead Kit

Good quality mead with balanced levels of tannin and acid has an alcohol level of 8% and is easy to produce from this Grandma’s Kit.

You’ll need 2kg of liquid honey, a fermenter and bottles to store the finished mead. All other ingredients and detailed instructions are contained in this kit.

Honey Mead is simply fermented honey water. It is very ancient drink and may have been the first alcoholic beverage enjoyed by our ancestors.

The combination of honey with small levels of alcohol found in mead was considered very beneficial and was used widely as midline and tonic.
