A multi-purpose strain suitable for both Perry and Mead as well as a variety of wines, such as fortified wines, vegetable wines, flower wines but also excellent for most country wines, sweet sparkling wines and ciders.
SN9 is a general purpose strain with a fairly neutral sensory impact and high alcohol tolerance, making it suitable for most wine styles, particularly those high in alcohol. High glycerol production enhances mouthfeel without impacting flavour.
No rehydration required – add direct to the grape must and stir well.
For best results, ferment at 14 – 28°C
